Datasets can be defined as data that are "related, suitably structured and organized so they can be appropriately treated (processed) to obtain information" (definition extracted from Open Data. Strategic guide for its implementation. FEMP minimum data sets that should be published.). 

Every dataset comprises one or more resources or distributions, available in different formats (file, web service, etc.). By reusable formats we refer to structured data formats, which can be read or interpreted by automatic machines. Likewise, these formats are called open formats if it is not a copyrighted format.

No, the data published on the portal are anonymized before being disclosed. Thus, it does not include personal data that would identify specific citizens, except in cases where this is expressly public, according to the terms set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights.

These companies use the open data provided by public administrations to create their own products and/or services.

The selection of the topics/categories has not been made at random, but responds to the guidelines included in the so-called Technical Interoperability Standard for the Reuse of Information Resources (NTI-RISP) approved by Resolution of February 19, 2013, of the Secretary of State for Public Administrations.

The selection of a topic/category provides the user with the possibility of knowing the data available in the portal related to a specific subject.

As an example, information on agriculture would be included in the Rural Environment category, information related to bus lines and schedules in Transport and historical heritage in Tourism, Culture and leisure or Urbanism and infrastructures.

The main objective of the data that can be accessed on this portal is the development of accessible, efficient, secure and reliable digital services. To this end, to keep them updated, it is sufficient to use the URL of the required resource.

To do this, once we have accessed a dataset we position ourselves on the download icon (down arrow) of a resource, click on the right mouse button and select the option Copy the link address.
