The publication of open data in different formats on the portal allows them to be used by different profiles of citizens. In this way, the reuse of public data for the generation of new applications or services that provide added value for citizens is encouraged.
The following is an example of a possible case of reuse based on the datasets published in the Open Data portal of the Cabildo de Tenerife:
BICs Tenerife
- Dataset used: Bienes de Interés Cultural de Tenerife.
- Description: application that shows all the Assets of Cultural Interest of the island geolocated on a map. The user can search according to the municipalities and the category of the BIC: monument, historical site, archaeological zone, paleontological zone, historical site, ethnological site and historical garden.
- Expected benefits: helps to disseminate the island's historical heritage. Both tourists and residents will be able to discover the treasures of the island, which are often unknown.
- Target audience: Culture and Heritage areas of public organizations and institutions, tourists and residents.
