The Cabildo de Tenerife's Open Data portal offers two APIs (Application Programming Interface), which allow automated access, reuse and integration of data. One of their main advantages is that they facilitate the integration of data in applications, without the need to manually download the data sets.

You can learn how to use them through these explanatory videos:

Some datasets, such as Tenerife Daily Traffic Intensity, include files in TXT format. This file type works in a very similar way to a CSV, since it is tabular data separated by commas. To use them, simply download them and open them in a spreadsheet program (Excel, LibreOffice, Google Sheets) selecting the comma-separated option. If you prefer, you can even change the file extension from .txt to .csv for easier handling.

The "Most viewed" section on the home page of the portal shows those sets that receive the highest number of clicks by users. The system performs this count of visits within a calendar year, so the results are updated periodically to reflect query trends.

This is the case for API or HTML type resources. In these cases, the portal does not directly store the file, but provides a link that redirects to external services or web pages. By relying on another source and not on the Open Data Portal itself, it is not possible to display metadata such as the date of update or the size of the resource.
