This November, in Datos Abiertos Cabildo de Tenerife we will analyze the 25 reuse proposals received in the I Open Data Contest: Reuse Ideas. Soon, we will communicate the winners of the contest and the best ideas will come to light. In the meantime, you can follow the news of the contest on the social networks of the Cabildo de Tenerife.
Among the new features this month, the portal datos.tenerife.es incorporates a new filter in the search for datasets, the filter by Author, which allows searching for datasets based on this parameter.
The Tenerife Open Data Portal continues to promote the publication of data that not only promotes greater transparency in public management, but also encourages, in a fundamental way, the reuse of information to develop new applications, innovative solutions and create job opportunities.
Forthcoming sets on the portal: Activities managed by the Tenerife Auditorium, Sports and Exotic Species
New datasets that were under study will soon be available on the portal. Among them, the set of Activities Managed by the Auditorio de Tenerife, which will have information on the attendance to the activities managed by the Auditorio. The set of daily traffic intensity data on the road network of the island of Tenerife by gauging stations will also be published.
On the other hand, in the sports category, the development continues for the opening of a new set related to the sports agenda of the Sports Service of the Cabildo (deportestenerife.es).
As for data related to the environment, work continues on the data sets of invasive exotic species detected in the Teno Rural Park and the Guide to the use of plant species in Tenerife.
Under study: Cold portions and Accessibility
The Open Data Portal of the Cabildo de Tenerife aims to provide citizens with access to a wide catalog of datasets. Part of its activity is focused on the study of new sets that provide social and economic benefit.
Among these sets, the portal is progressing in the analysis of data on cold portions, which indicates the necessary cold conditions for the cultivation of certain products in the areas covered by AgroCabildo's weather stations.
Work is also underway to update the Accessibility Map, which contains data on the level of accessibility of places of public use of interest in urbanistically consolidated areas of the island of Tenerife.
