Output, effect and impact of Open Data The main objective of the Open Data portal promoted by the Cabildo de Tenerife is to make data freely available to the public, accessible and reusable. However, the benefits and transforming potential of "open data" require the evaluation of certain parameters to establish the real impact of these initiatives.

To participate in the I Open Data Competition Cabildo de Tenerife, proposals can be submitted in person or online through the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo de Tenerife. The Cabildo has published the rules of the contest last July 23 and the call will be available until October 23, 2024.

The Cabildo Insular de Tenerife has announced the "I Open Data Competition: Ideas for Reuse", with the aim of recognizing the realization of projects that provide any study, service, educational resource, website or application for mobile devices, with the use of data from the portal datos.tenerife.es.

On May 16, the Open Data portal of the Cabildo de Tenerife will star in the Webinar "Creating opportunities" of the "Cátedra Caja Siete of Big Data, Open Data and Blockchain" of the University of La Laguna (link to for registration) with the aim of publicizing cases of reuse by companies and administrations and possible ways of use for the development of new innovative solutions.

Water resources Tenerife (Canary Islands) open data The Open Data portal of the Cabildo de Tenerife continues its commitment to the dissemination of useful data for citizens, administrations and companies. With this objective, since March, it has incorporated 7 new data sets on the structure of territorial drainage and sources of water supply on the island of Tenerife, provided by the Consejo Insular de Aguas de Tenerife (CIATF).
