Open Data Cabildo de Tenerife Project Diary December

In December the Open Data portal continues to work on the development of new datasets, which can be freely consulted, downloaded, used and redistributed by any person or company; in its commitment to increase the resources available on the portal and contribute to the generation of new services and applications.

The Dynamic Model (Fishman et al., 1987) data set of chilling portions in Tenerife is now available in the portal. It contains information especially useful for the cultivation of horticultural products on the island.

The portal includes as a novelty three new frequently asked questions related to ESRI's ArcGIS software. You can consult all the frequently asked questions in the FAQ section of the News menu.

Continuing with this month's activity, we review the datasets that will soon be available for consultation in Datos Abiertos Cabildo de Tenerife.

Upcoming datasets: Sports agenda, Daily traffic intensity, VENTE data, Infoten and Activities managed by the Tenerife Auditorium.

New open datasets will soon be available on the portal, having completed their development phase. Among them, the set related to the Sports Agenda of the Sports Service of the Cabildo. On the other hand, data on daily traffic intensity on the road network of the island of Tenerife will also be published by gauging stations.

Regarding the rural environment and tourism, the TenerifeON public use data set will also be available, which includes information on trails, forest tracks, bicycle and horse routes, motor vehicle routes, recreational and rest areas.

Data from the Tenerife Tourist Information Offices Network (Infoten) and Activities Managed by the Tenerife Auditorium (with information on the number of visitors to the activities managed by the Auditorium) will also be published soon.

Under study: rural environment data, accessibility map and new data.

Progress continues on the sets of the Guide to the use of plant species in Tenerife and the Invasive Alien Species detected in the Teno Rural Park.

In addition, progress continues to be made in updating the Accessibility Map, which contains data on the level of accessibility of places of public use of interest on the island of Tenerife.

On the other hand, work is beginning on new resources related to data on sports facilities in Tenerife and the Tenerife Rural Foundation.
